Florida Street, full-grown
A few photos of the Florida Street garden, fully grown in, a couple years after installation:

A Beschorneria and some succulents spilling from a wooden tub alongside the lawn. The lawn is not grass but Carex pansa, a distant relative of the calla lily.

Luscious texture of Carex lawn, looking across the flagstone patio at Hydrangea acerfolia.

Looking back down the gravel-strewn sideyard (past a toad) at Hedychium, datura, and Cotinus (smokebush).
Arch framing the sideyard, with Rosa ‘Cecille Brunner.’ Matillaja poppies coming up in foreground.
